As the secretary of the MGSOSA, it is with great honor and pleasure that I announce the success of the annual Prayer and Dinner Night hosted by St. Mary's White Plains. MGSOSA had over 80 youth present at the event. Several parishes in the tristate area participated in the program. The youth had the opportunity to pray and worship as a group. We had the opportunity to have Very Rev. Fr. John Meno as the chief speaker. He allowed the youth to address issues and concerns regarding our faith, customs, and traditions. The young people asked thoughtful questions concerning infant baptism, praying for the departed souls, intercessional prayers with the Saints, our faiths in relation to other Christian Sects, etc. The discussions were fruitful and several youth members commented on the speaker and his helpfulness in answering the questions. We truly were blessed to have Fr. Meno present and we look forward to having him speak at future events. The message was followed by dinner which was sponsored by St. Mary's White Plains. The decision to disperse the $5 fee to charity was also announced at the dinner.
I am truly pleased with our youth and I encourage the young people to continue their support and interest in our church and its activities. Once again thanks to all who made the event a grand success.
Enjoy the Pictures!
