Visit to the Catholic Episcopal Conference of Argentina – Buenos Aires

On June 14, 2019, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the Catholic Episcopal Conference of Argentina, in Buenos Aires.
 
He was received by His Grace Óscar Vicente Ojea, Bishop of San Isidro and President of the Conference, and His Grace Carlos Humberto Malfa, Bishop of Chascomús and General Secretary of the Conference.
 
His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences: Mor Chrysostomos Youhanna Ghassaly, Patriarchal Vicar in Argentina, Mor Severius Malke Mourad, Patriarchal Vicar in Brazil, Mor Chrysostomos Mikhael Chamoun, Patriarchal Vicar and Director of the Patriarchal Benevolent Institutions in Atchaneh, Mor Titus Boulos Touza, Apostolic Nuncio to the Syriac Evangelical Mission Churches in Brazil, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.
 
His Excellency Mr. Maher Mahfouz, Charge d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Buenos Aires was also present.
 
His Holiness invited their Graces as well as all members of the Conference to visit Syria and inspect the reality of the situation there. He also spoke about the mission of the Church in ministering to her faithful children in the Middle East as well as in the diaspora.
