On September 14, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in the 5th Budapest Summit on Demography, which was held in Budapest.
Their Excellencies: President of Hungary Mrs. Katalin Novak, President of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev, Prime Ministry of Hungary Mr. Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Italy Mrs. Giorgia Meloni, Vice President of Tanzania Mr. Philip Isdor Mpango, as well as ministers, parliamantarians and religious leaders also attended the service.
His Holiness was accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant.
