Consecration of Very Rev. Msgr. Yacoub Mrad

On March 3, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended the episcopal consecration of Very Rev. Msgr. Yacoub Mrad as Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Nabak, at the Holy Spirit Syriac Catholic Cathedral in Homs.

His Beatitude Mor Ignatius Youssef III Younan, Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, celebrated the consecration assisted by their Excellencies the Archbishops of the Syriac Catholic Church. His Beatitude Patriarch Joseph Absi, Greek Catholic Melkite Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Eminence Cardinal Mario Zenari, Apostolic Nuncio in Syria, and their Excellencies Archbishops of Homs and representatives of the churches also attended the service of the consecration.

His Holiness was accompanied by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Archbishop of Homs, Hama, Tartous and Environs, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, and Very Rev. Raban Augeen Al-Khoury.
