On September 23, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Bishop Kosta Kayal, Abbot of St. Elias Greek Orthodox Patriarchal Monastery in Shwaya, at the Patriarchate Headquarters in Atchaneh – Lebanon.
During the meeting, His Excellency invited His Holiness to attend the international scientific conference organized by the Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand, under the title: “The Orthodox Church of Antioch from the 15th to the 18th Century: Towards a Proper Understanding of History”.
The meeting was attended by their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, Archbishop of Beirut, Mor Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Assistant, and Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary.
