On December 14, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met His Excellency Mr. Tristan Azbej, Hungarian State Secretary for the Aid of the Persecuted Christians, at the headquarters of the State Secretariate in Budapest.
His Holiness was accompanied by his Eminence Archbishop Mor Augeen Al-Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary.
His Holiness discussed with His Excellency the different projects that are executed by the cooperation between the Syriac Orthodox Church and the government of Hungary through Hungary Helps.
