On May 16, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II participated in the ceremony of the handing over of the scouts scarves to the participants of the first session of the Wooden Badge in Syria. This session was organized by St. Aphrem Patriarchal Scouts in Damascus and held at Mor Aphrem Monastery in Maarat Saydnaya. More than 45 participants joined the session and international trainers gave the various topics and exercises during the session.
His Eminence Archbishop Mor Yacoub Babawi, Patriarchal Vicar for Monks Affairs and the Administration of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, Very Rev. Raban Andrawos Bahhi, Director of Youth Department, and Very Rev. Raban Augeen Al Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary were also present.
The scouts brieved his Holiness on the workshops of the session and trainings they received.
His Holiness then distributed the Scouts Scarves on the participants who have successfully completed the session.
