On February 4, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II presided over the celebrations of the Patriarchal Day, held at the Patriarchal Center in Puthencruz.
During these events, His Holiness participated in the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the episcopal ordination of His Beatitude Catholicos Mor Baselius Thomas I. His Holiness blessed His Beatitude and wished him good health and spoke about his role in the preservation of faith and the strong bond between the faithful and the throne of Antioch.
In honor of this jubilee, His Holiness offered a pectoral cross to His Beatitude as a token of appreciation for his long years of ministry and faithfulness.
His Excellency Sri Pinarayi Vijaran, Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala, was present during these celebrations as well as many dignitaries and religious leaders.
