On October 7, 2023, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II attended a recital at St. Mary Church in Worcester – Massachussetts on the occasion of the Centennial Jubilee of the construction of the church.
Their Eminences Archbishops: Mor Dionysius John Kawak, Patriarchal Vicar for the Archdiocese of Eastern USA, Mor Polycarpus Augeen Aydin, Patriarchal Vicar for the Netherlands, and Mor Augeen Al Khoury Nemat, Patriarchal Secretary, attended the recital as well His Excellency Maronite Archbishop of the USA Gregory Mansour.
His Holiness blessed the members of St. Mary Church’s choir who performed Syriac hymns on the occasion.
His Excellency the Mayor of Worcester presented the key of the city to His Holiness in honor of his visit.
